Miami-Dade County lost 2,900 non-agriculture jobs — a decline of 0.3% on a year-over-year basis as of June. Employment in the construction industry declined 14.4%, and retail industry employment fell 1.5%, according to figures from the Beacon Council.

Florida announced record tourism numbers for the first quarter of 2024, as totals for international visitors continue to move closer to pre-pandemic levels.
A Danish drone technology firm has opened a U.S. headquarters in St. Petersburg. The move comes as the defense company wants to be closer to its customers and partnerships.
